It’s always nice to hear of the beautiful people in the world who are determined to eliminate the use of animals in the fashion world- from mink coats to rabbit muffs. But it seems that one beautiful person in particular, Supermodel Elle Macpherson, is stepping up to the plate- quite literally- to challenge the usage of bluefin tuna in Nobu’s Japanese fusion styled restaurants.
Apparently the supermodel, along with Sienna Miller, Alicia Silverstone and Bono, simply just can’t ‘dine with clear consciences’ at the prestigious locale while the dish remains on the menu. The international cuisine company is in the process of looking for alternatives to its exotic dish. In the meantime, we’ll have to hope that we don’t see any of them in fur or leather- because according to Greenpeace- the animals who supply those are too being exploited. Oh wait, I think it’s a little too late for that, eh Elle? Hopefully she won't be incorporating any furs, scales, or leather in her intimate apparel- for the future anyway.
